The Hyperlink Manager, via menu, in Jedox Web should just generate hyperlink formulas and paste them in the selected cell.
Alternatively a unified method for creating hyperlinks i.e. removing one method and focus on implementing one method that works stable.11 votes
With this diagram you can see the coordinates in the mouse over mode. Unfortunate you can't edit the output.
Coordinates like these x=0.25 and y=0.9 would be shown like this 0/1.
At the moment this diagram is useless for figures with fractional digits.10 votes
Excel (at least 2010) allows to set two colors for bar series, one for positive, one for negative values.
1. Modeller functionality has to be improved e.g. in Excel I could change Attributes directly. In Jedox Web it is not possble
2. Enable more commands e.g. holding SHIFT and usng Arrow Keys or STRG + Arrow Keys
3. Align all Paste View function according to Excel like the undock function which is not available in Jedox Web10 votes
It's not possible to copying a range in one sheet and to pasting it identically with the same height and width of columns and rows in another sheet.10 votes
we defined a layout where (e.g.) comboboxes have a certain length and position. we created a template with some predefined comboboxes we use in nearly every report. However, when I have to insert a new column the comboboxes are shifted to the right and I have to reposition them every time despite I defined the position in the beginning.
Please provide a function to lock a form element to its position so that it is not moved automatically by adding/removing columns/rows.10 votes
In several areas, elements are sorted by creation data as opposed to name and this makes selection difficult. For instance:
- in modeler and subset editor, dropdown to select a database
- in modeler, list of cubes
- in subset editor, select Alias
- in formulas PALO.DATABASE_LIST_CUBES and PALO.DATABASE_LIST_DIMENSIONS
The formulas are the most problematic because the result is an array that cannot be sorted. When I want to compare dimensions and cubes from 2 different databases and the dimensions and cubes were not created in the exact same order, it doesn't line up ...10 votes
Added to the backlog: not currently planned for a specific upcoming version, but in consideration for future versions.
It would be nice to receive information about the dimensions when inputting a palo.data function:
after inputting palo.data(DataBaseName,Cube, ...
the system would show the name of the dimension below the cell. (the way the different arguments of a function are suggested in Excel below the cell containing the formula during input - see attached file).
That way you wouldn't have to memorize or print out the structure of all your cubes.10 votes
Often you hide columns/rows in web spreadsheets for simplification of reports. But sometimes you put values in hidden cells, you never ever want the users to see those values. If the user export this report to excel, he could simply unhide those rows or columns. I think there should be an option to omit hidden rows/columns from xlsx export. It would be best, do do this via an optional parameter in the hiderow/hidecolumn formula10 votes
Search in dimensions in entire dimension as opposed to just in the currently shown page in Jedox Web
In Jedox Web if you are searching in a dimension e.g. defining subset in dyanrange it only searches in the current page as opposed to the entire dimension.10 votes
I want to show Alias of Legend and Data Labels in Chart.9 votes
The different layout of comboboxes and lists makes it impossible to use them side by side without breaking report design:
- Comboboxes and lists should have the same height.
- Comboboxes and lists should use the same style.
At least there should be the possibility to have lists behave like comboboxes when multiselect is disabled, that means:
- Lists should display the chosen element (with disabled multiselect).9 votes
Enable support for PowerPoint as a new output type for batch reporting. The user can optionally specify a PowerPoint template file (for formatting).
The Jedox line diagram can not differentiate lines other than by colour. There is no equivalent to a dashed line.
Idea: allow user to select dashed lines (like in excel diagrams)9 votes
The handling of the variable settings for Batch PDF is not so easy.
Better batchPDF is controlled by the comboboxes in a report and then an option should be: Loop over all elements of the combobox.9 votes
Since it's not possible to set worksheet protection for xlsx snapshots exported from Jedox Web, users are able to edit any of the cells of the snapshots even if cell lock was defined in the original spreadsheet.
Could you please consider to add a functionality to set worksheet protection for the snapshot exported from Jedox Web.9 votes
Like in Excel it would be nice to get an automatic summary of cells shown in the bottom right Corner (see attached file).
Value in cell A1: 20
Value in cell A2: 30
Value in cell A3: 40
When range A1:A3 is selected, the sum of those three cells should be shown in the bottom right Corner. This should be doable in reportmanager as well as in the file Manager.9 votes
In Jedox the logout button always redirects the user to http://<your Server IP>/ui/login/.
Working in a standalone-environment this is an issue because the user will not logon using the provided standalone link once logged out.
If you could change the destination URL of the logout button in Jedox to the standard link for example, the user will always stay in the environment he is supposed to by design.
Of course this only makes sense, whenever the user logged out from the standalone environment. When e.g. admin user logs in using IP/ui/login/ the logout button should direct to IP/ui/login/ again.9 votes
Having the possibility of hiding/collapsing single frames in a frameset in report-manager would help increasing usability.
Assume you are working in a 2-frame-environment using one frame only for navigation purposes it would be helpful to collapse the "navigation"-frame whenever you are working on a smaller screen (e.g notebook).9 votes
Currently, if we have 0s in graphics, graphic lines down and up in 0 values (see capture1).
I like to see a continuos line in the case the values are not available (0) for one coordinate instead down and up the lines.
In excel, you can use NOD() function (with an "IF" in the cell") to get continous lines (see capture2)
In Jedox NOD() is read like 09 votes
