Jedox Feature Voting Tool

Dear Jedox User,

in our continuous strive to improve our services, features and to help you gain your share of this ever growing market we are introducing the Jedox Feature Voting System.
This new service is currently exclusively available for you, our Users and Partners.

What is this Jedox Feature Voting System?
It is a tool that provides you with the options to create and vote on Feature request, Ideas and any other general Feedback.
This in return provides us with the necessary Information to react and provide you with the things you need.

We invite you to browse this Page, create and vote on new Features, Ideas and requests!

How can we improve Jedox Software?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Functionality to search reports in Jedox Web

    Could you consider to add a functionality to search a report in Jedox Web, so the users can easily find our where the target report is stored even if bunch of reports are saved in the Reports or Report Designer section.

  2. PALO.DATA.AVG -> add option to count zero cells/values

    Please add an option in the function to include Zero values into the calculated average.

    Also add the option to PALO.DATA.CNT

  3. PALO.DATA.SOURCE Identify Rule-based values/cells

    PALO.DATA.SOURCE Identify rule-based values/cells

    Function to identify, if a value is calculated or stored in the database.
    This enables dynamic reports where a conditional formatting opens cells for data entry ONLY if they are actually stored and not stored and a rule is immediatly overruling the entered value and showing the rule value (e.g. rule = 100, enter 500, cells still Shows 100)

  4. Callout labels if limited space for chart

    When creating dashboards, sometimes there is not enough space for label to be shown in chart. Excel has feature to add label as callout.

    It would be nice to have something similar in Jedox.

    Please check attached file:
    * on left - chart as it is now in Jedox;
    * on right - just an idea, what should be done.

  5. Refactor Store zero values and empty strings

    The Store zero values feature is interesting but far too extreme. One should have the possibility to refine and define the property for particular slices, not necessarily for a complete cube.

  6. Instantly (one click) use/set variables (shown in monitor) used by previously ran ETL-task

    ETL jobs often get data from user input or automatically retrieve variable values. This is used to temporary 'overwrite' variable defaults. When debugging an ETL process with many variables you need to manually change all used variables in order to reproduce a previously ran ETL job. It would be nice to have a single button to set all used variables from a specific ETL job to the actual used values (as shown in the integrator logs).

  7. Add monitor log filter option for custom script debugging

    As ETL-developer/Integrator you can write custom debug within (Groovy) scripts to show specific info in monitoring/logging. Long and complex ETL-processes return many pages of log info, most not interesting for debugging custom scripts. Please add an additional log method filter (for example: UINF (LOG.uinf) and an extra filter option (tag?) in the integration monitoring to filter user based debugging. makes

  8. Inverse rule like in SAC

    in SAC there is the possibility to create such a rule:

    [Marketing Cost] = [Revenue] * [Marketing Cost % of Revenue] | INVERSE ( [Marketing Cost % of Revenue] := [Marketing Cost] / [Revenue] )

    it allows you making Marketing Cost % of Revenue and Marketing Cost as well as an input (and "holding" Revenue constant)

    this in jedox is now only possible using SupervisionServer. This would be really helpful if this could be a standard feature

  9. longer file path name in multibyte environments

    In multibyte environments such as Japanese,file path names can be easily longer than its limitation of 255 characters because it is encoded before saving it in file systems.Thus, we would like Jedox to be able to save .wss files with names longer than 255 characters.
    Actually,our customers normally use Japanese characters for folder/file names and it often happens that the files can not be opened even though it is just saved in not long path(such as only 4th level,etc.).We think of it to be unrealistic for big companies to have many documents saved separately in many divisions/departments/functions.
    We appreciate you…

  10. LDAP groups nesting support to better and simplified user rights management

    Please, consider this simple example:

    LDAP Groups:
    - CONTROLLERS
    - CONTROLLERS_CZ
    - CONTROLLERS_DE
    - CONTROLLERS_PL

    LDAP Users :
    - Controller_CZ
    - Controller_DE
    - Controller_PL

    LDAP Users in LDAP Group(s):
    - Controller_CZ / CONTROLLERS_CZ
    - Controller_DE / CONTROLLERS_DE
    - Controller_PL / CONTROLLERS_PL

    LDAP Groups in LDAP Group(s):
    - CONTROLLERS_CZ / CONTROLLERS
    - CONTROLLERS_DE / CONTROLLERS
    - CONTROLLERS_PL / CONTROLLERS

    In Jedox:
    1) some common and general functionalities (reports access, data forms access, spliting of data functionality, etc.) will be assigned to LDAP group "CONTROLLERS" (all users can access specified objects/functionalities)
    2) Data access will be manageged by exactly specified groups CONTROLLERS_<XX>.…

  11. Right-To-Left Text Direction (Critical !)

    It is very important for right-to-left languages to have the Right-To-Left Text Direction like in any MS office application.

  16. Function to display overlapping labels so as not to overlap

    In the case of bar line chart etc.
    Sometimes the labels of the first chart and the labels of the second chart overlap.
    Therefore, I want a function that automatically adjusts the position so that they do not overlap.

  17. Allow user-defined nodes in Integrator

    User-defined nodes should be allowed in the integrator.

    Currently, there are "Global Projects" and "Models". If a new node can be created for models, this should technically be no problem for other user-defined nodes.

    These can be used to structure more complex projects – and it would allow partners/consultants to separate different customer projects (for this, additional sub-projects and/or folders would also be helpful).

    But as a start it would be a huge benefit to use the current structure and just add a user dialogue to add/delete projects nodes on the same level as "global" or "models".

  18. Always show additional optional settings in integrator

    In Jedox integrator the additional optional settings are not expanded.

    Therefore you always have to expand this block first to check if there is anything configured there.

    >> All blocks should always be expanded at any time.
    >> Alternatively all blocks should be expanded if they contain any settings other than default.

  20. Delete a job and its dependencies

    It would be great to be able to delete a complete job with its dependencies. Maybe with an option to prevent the deletion of the component that are used elsewhere. For instance:

    Connection1 => Extract1 => Transform1 => Transform2 => Load1 => Job1

    Connection1 => Extract1=> Transform3 => Transform4 => Load2 => Job2

    I would like to delete all what is under Job2 but keep Connection1 and Extract1 since they are used by Job1.
