It should be possible to preselect the alias as the default value to avoid confusing users with IDs defined as base elements.
The setting should be made user-specific.14 votes
With Mac getting so prevalent in the business environment, Jedox Excel Add-in should work in the Mac environment as well as the MS OS. This feature is probably more important than working in Google sheets8 votes
Option to set atribute as default alias and to set default format (exemple: name-alias) for each dimension
When i make an excel request on a database, i always use the same alias and the same format on the selection's Windows fot a given dimension. The idea is to have that directly on every sélections on my hierarchies. attached the default configuration i would like to be able to set.5 votes
Currently Drag & Drop for Dimension Elements does not work in the tree view when an alias is selected. This is very annoying for practical work and hard to explain to the customer who is supposed to move new elements to the right place in a tree on a regular basis.
Make drag & drop work in alias view mode.5 votes
It should be good to see the impact of splashing on numbers by changing the color of the font in the cell (such as TM1) in Excel or in the web5 votes
It would be awesome if one could grant users different rights per Frontend (Excel vs Web). In Theory it makes sense to treat them the same (you are either allowed to change a value or you are not) BUT in real life Excel is far more complicated and counter-intuitive to use. Especially if you roll-out to 100s of users you can not be sure if someone messes up plan figures just by analyzing them (it can happen so fast and without any notice) - typical answer: "...but I haven't saved - for sure." It would be extremely helpful to grant the users rights for analyzing with Excel (R) and plan in Web (D).
If you manage this with different logins you need twice as much licenses and also have to rely on the users to stick to the rules.

Please work on suporting DPI scaling / zoom factor for high resolution displays. Our customers are rolling out a lot of ultrabooks with 1920x1080 or higher resolutions. This causes text and diaglog boxes to be too small for comfort by default. But if the users set it to 150%, Jedox Excel Wizard is missing the "Windows Authentication" option.4 votes
We are currently updating dialogs in Excel to work better with high resolution displays. The Jedox Wizard already supports higher resolution since release 2018.2.
In Subset Editor, if an Alias is selected, it would be nice if one could switch the preview between Elementname and Alias. #98974 votes
Palo.DataR means only Read. So no mistakes possible when a user uses paste view in Excel to analyse data.
Addition, for some users only allow them to choose the Palo.DataR in the paste view dialog.4 votes
After prospective customers installed Jedox, they do not know how to use it. so it would be better to provide tutorials video as a menu in Jedox.
for example, when they logged in Jedox Web, Tutorial information including video appears in Start screen.

The subset editor has the option "show duplicates" which is checked by default. When unchecked, double elements (e.g. in parallel hierarchies) are hidden.
There should be an extra checkbox underneath it, "Show duplicate attributes". By default, this should be grayed out. Only if an Alias is selected, this checkbox is enabled; when checked, duplicate attribute values are to be excluded from the subset. Example: include only one (first?) Product which - for the attribute "color" - has the value "black".
In Excel 'Paste View' it is often necessary to select several values to analyze the data, e.g. show the revenue for 30 different material numbers.
Currently you have to selesct those 30 numbers manually out of the whole list.
But usually you alreday have those material numbers somewhere and it would be very easy to just copy them and paste them from the clipboard to selected values.3 votes
Could you expand the waterfall feature with :

When we have dozens of projects and dozens of cubes it would be nice to see what are the projects name and the jobs that load that cube.
This would be easily accessible by right clicking on a cube and having an option "ETL Information" for example.

in der Zeilen und Spaltenauswahl funktioniert das Wechseln von der hierarchischen Ansicht in die Listenansicht.
Dies sollte in der Kopfauswahl auch möglich sein!3 votes
During an update for a major release clients with differeing Excel Add-in versions may experience problems or unexpected behavior.
A warning could be displayed and blocking issued if a non supported combination of versions is detected.2 votes
Die Dimensionen sollen sich nach unten oder nach rechts darstellen lassen (Nach unten ging bis Version 6, nach rechts geht ab Version 6).2 votes
Currently (6.0), subsets that use a variable in their definition have no effect when used in a Jedox View:
"Paste View" -> Select dimension to rows or columns -> choose the subset for element selection -> Insert the view: All dimension elements are included for that dimension.
Fixing this will make reports more flexible, especially in Excel Reports (where DynaRanges etc. are not an option).2 votes
