Jedox Feature Voting Tool

Dear Jedox User,

in our continuous strive to improve our services, features and to help you gain your share of this ever growing market we are introducing the Jedox Feature Voting System.
This new service is currently exclusively available for you, our Users and Partners.

What is this Jedox Feature Voting System?
It is a tool that provides you with the options to create and vote on Feature request, Ideas and any other general Feedback.
This in return provides us with the necessary Information to react and provide you with the things you need.

We invite you to browse this Page, create and vote on new Features, Ideas and requests!

How can we improve Jedox Software?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Make global subset definitions independent of IDs

Global subsets are currently stored with IDs referencing elements. THis leads to broken global subsets whenever a dimension is loaded in modus update or transfered to the production environment via the new database script functionality.

For the usage scenario of transferring data with scripts, the subset definition is not be relying on ID’s anymore as of Jedox 7.1.
For retaining the subset after modifying dimensions themselves, larger internal changes are required.

  2. Support more than 2 nested Dynaranges

In order to easily maintain complex print reports, I would need up to 5 nested Dynaranges in one report. One of the latest requirements could use 3 nested vertical Dynaranges with 2 horizontal ones intersecting only the inner vertical Dynarange (to sort the columns along the values of the inner Dynarange.
This would save a LOT of time.

  3. Positioning of charts depending on cell position & size (Dynarange)

Current situation when combining charts with dynaranges:

    Design Mode:
    - you create a chart next to a dynarange and give it a certain size

    Result in User Mode:
    - the chart will be stretched to a bigger size according to the expansion of the dynarange

This can sometimes be avoided by using frames or by other workarounds, but those work arounds are not really applicable for professional real life solutions,
For example if you use frames already for other purposes, esp. for menu bar structures then you don't have this option (as frames cannot be nested into each other).

    So…

  4. Sorted as default

In several areas, elements are sorted by creation data as opposed to name and this makes selection difficult. For instance:
    - in modeler and subset editor, dropdown to select a database
    - in modeler, list of cubes
    - in subset editor, select Alias
    - in formulas PALO.DATABASE_LIST_CUBES and PALO.DATABASE_LIST_DIMENSIONS

The formulas are the most problematic because the result is an array that cannot be sorted. When I want to compare dimensions and cubes from 2 different databases and the dimensions and cubes were not created in the exact same order, it doesn't line up ...

  5. Add new fonts to Jedox Web

It would be a huge advantage if you could add your own fonts to Jedox Web. Especially in terms of corporate design it is necessary.

  6. White-labeling / OEM support

In addition to current support (motd and custom login page), Jedox should also support "white-labeling"; add support to exchange visual references to Jedox e.g. Jedox logo with custom graphics. This should be supported across the product, starting with setup, over Excel Add-in and finally in Web. #16321

  7. Use Standard Alias for Dimensions in Pase View

On a per user and per dimension basis information about the last selected alias should be stored and retrieved, when opening a new view.
That would help users to work faster with their data.

  8. Web drill-through result export as XLSX

Exporting DT results happens now as CSV, which brings major problems when opening those in MS Excel, such as wrong number formats or decimal separators. A direct XLS export would solve much of troubles when using Web-Reports with ad-hoc analysis in Excel.

  9. Add support for lowest X elements ( e.g. 'Flop 10') in a Subset

Currently only supported whole positive values are supported for the data filter, e.g. 'Top 10' values. It should be possible to use negative values to define e.g. -10 for 'Flop 10' values. #15332
