Macros assigned to filter-comboboxes (to set dynarange-variables) are executed BEFORE data is updated.
A function similar to __open() that is triggered after palo-data has been changed, e.g. in dynaranges, would allow macro-treatment of the new data - in my case to compare current and last year's top-50-customer-dynarange and mark via macro and conditional formatting customers, missing in the actual period (= stopped buying)3 votes
It would be useful to be able to create, modify, delete and launch tasks directly from the API, allowing specification of :
schedule (date/time of execution and frequence of execution),
active or not,
file location when generating xlsx or pdf.6 votes
Method "setProperty(String name, String value)" of class "API" could accept a string list as value to take advantage of feature 1).
For instance :
countries = ['Germany', 'France', 'Italy'];
values = ['1','2','3'];
Here, we suppose "Loadfilecountriesvalues" takes "FTcountries_values" as source.3 votes
A partner is asking for an API function to be able to invoke a browse dialog to access files/folders in the Report Designer.
Basically what they want is like the Publish feature in the Excel add-in. Then they would call this function in their macro code from a report to open this dialog and allow the user to upload a file.5 votes
Currently the only option to remove an element from consolidation with spreadsheet functions is to use PALO.EUPDATE
function. This method is in-direct as it requires all the elements remaining in consolidation as an argument which makes the use of function laborious.
A new function to simply "break" parent-child relation of two elements would make this operation much easier. The function could be something like PALO.EREMOVE(Server/Database,Dimension,Element,Consolidated Element).13 votes
A python API on top of the Rest API would be great.
A version was already made by a jedox user here, and downloaded 400 Times, that shows that it is needed and required !7 votes
