Scenario: An excel spreadsheet data (with 10+ columns) is used in Data-driven modeling with original column names. A lot of time and effort is spent on drag/drop the columns as hierarchy or attributes or measures or drill
Issue: The new column names like - Customer[2,Cust], Comments [Drill], Value [MES], Name [ATTR,2,Cust] are not stored anywhere for reuse.
Pain: The user has to repeat the DDM process to get those column relationships with the new column names
Solution: Jedox DDM should allow the user to copy all column names (with attr,mes,drill suffixes) to clipboard or new spreadsheet so that they can be reused for similar DDM activities or excel upload template.
I would like to recommend that if Jedox could save the the square bracket syntax settings rather than we type it manually or remember the exact syntax every time when we do the DDM. I came across this issue when I was doing the excel DDM for similar databases (but with different column names) for roughly 35+ columns. Each time I had to repeat the whole drag and drop process in the DDM screens.
