We are looking at creating reports in Canvas instead of the web excel. Canvas is much quicker to develop a report because we can easily control the positions of drop down boxes and other elements and keep the style the same across all reports.
The problem however is that my clients often export a report into excel to do further analysis. This is no longer available in canvas. We are lacking a way for getting report data from a canvas into excel.
When creating a frame in an excel file for use in a canvas, it should also be possible to export that to excel. This would keep the flexibility of export to excel with the improved way of building reports in canvas.
Or does the roadmap have a "report" item that will have native canvas reports that would also allow excel export?
