It would be handy to have a control over what alias we want to show in the pasteview edit screen. currently, it shows all the attributes of the dimension that exist in the data model. However, we create many such attributes for calculation/filtering purposes and should not be visible to the end users as it causes confusion while using it for reporting.

Thanks for your idea. There is a way to limit the list of alias items for different users/groups by simply limiting their access. You would need to find the Right Cube and put (N - for not visible) for those attributes your users should not see. Example #_GROUP_DIMENSION_DATA_#_Products_ and here you will have Groups vs Product Attributes. I hope this can help your case.
