Let us know how we can make Jedox even better!
In previous version of Jedox when you established a directory connection to csv files the first column would be #_FileName, which provided the path, but more importantly the file name.
PLEASE BRING THIS BACK...as without it a directory connection is much less useful.
This feature was removed in 2023.4 to much dissapointment for me. A directory connection that doesn't even tell you the name of the file(s) is in my view rather useless. No longer can you just save files exported directly out of a system, and use the file name to determine which dimension/element to load against.
Without #_FileName the customer would now be required to manually amend every single csv file, and add the relevant value to every single row in every single csv file.
So gone is the ability to provide a seameless upload file/load to jedox process. Customers are now forced to manually amend every file before uploading.
This makes it a much more cumbersome process and in my view removes one of jedox's best selling points, its ability to work with all/any files/systems to load data without needing manual intervention.
Hi Brendan,
Thanks for your feedback! We took it seriously and we added this feature back. Expect it soon on some of the new patch releases.
