Use case: I cannot execute the following use case using Action buttons, therefore I need macros. I can only execute a button if specific terms are met. Or I need to loop through multiple months to set data and it needs to check parameters for each months.
Currently, I cannot use canvas buttons for e.g. most buttons in Human resource solutions as I need to check parameters, loop throuth months, so I have to use the spreadsheet buttons. Which means I cannot translate the button text too. And I am not consistent in my environment for UI/UX.
Please add the functionality executing macros like with spreadsheet buttons. This should take not much effort for developers as we can do it already with spreadsheet buttons, but create a huge benefit for customers and implementation experts.

perhaps this can also be achieved with an integrator procedure? It might be beneficial to have some return values though from there (to continue working with a certain outcome after excecution).
Even though working with macros gives a lot of possibilities, I consider them normally the least desireable option. This is mainly due to bad maintenance/update ability, high fault rate and low collaboration/ documentation/ transparency characteristics. This is the main reason, why most it departments or developers try to avoid these. I am myself also not very fond of them despite having worked with them a lot in the past (excel).
Just some additional ideas to consider.
