Offer different layout themes in dynatable as well as a theme editor
Offer several layout themes in dynatables, as is the case in views. Also offer a theme editor to meet the need for consistency and customisation in Canvas.
The current dynatables, in particular if used in a canvas report, are currently far off from usable for actual reports. Taking a look at the attached examples (same report - 1x paste view, 1x dynatable) the key issues are:
column elements can't be changed in their sorting
column (headers) can't be adjusted (width, font, wrapping...)
column headers are not fixed
numbers are left aligned (why?)
number formats can't either be changed directly nor are formats taken into consideration, which are stored in the database (in the paste view, they are completely pulled from the database)
the overall format of the table can't be adjusted (fonts, margins/ paddings, colors...)
lists can't be used for quick and reusable layouts
The above points are cruicial for a productive use. Without them, there is no use case
Further improvements:
Control 0 supression through user
Expand/ collapse levels at once (not only single items)
conditional writeback function (overall, we are talking about planning applications!)
Calculations (-> lists)
Actions (buttons) to run jobs or jump to another report
