Let us know how we can make Jedox even better!
2FA has recently been made available in the Cloud Console. This is great, and it is definitely needed as a hacker can wrec havoc to all servers by gaining access to the Cloud Console.
The problem is, that the implementation of 2FA means that it will not be used. As an implementation partner, we may have different consultants who need to access the client's cloud console. They can do so with a UID and a password already now. But they can NOT do so, if they also need a 2FA code from a specific consultant's cell phone, who may be a holidays or otherwise unavailable. That is why 2FA will NOT be activated.
The solution is simple and requires that the 2FA seed information is shown on the screen when 2FA is set up. This is the case for many 2FA implementations for other software and web sites. With the seed information, the 2FA can be set up with a password manager instead of a 2FA app on a cell phone. When 2FA is set up with a password manager, then the 2FA can be securely shared between colleagues by the password manager.
So, please display the SEED information for 2FA on the cloud console.
(It is an alphanumeric string equivalent to the QR code)
Thank you for your great idea. While we cannot commit to a specific target version, we will consider adding it to our future internal backlog.
