Customers have requested the ability to analyze drillthrough data directly within Jedox, using Dynatables, rather than only viewing it in a pop-up window that requires export to Excel.
Other analytics platforms already offer in-platform analysis of transactional (drillthrough) data, and customers expect similar functionality in Jedox to enhance their self-service analysis capabilities.
Since the drillthrough data already exists in the relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL), Jedox could either:
Link to the source via ODBC to retrieve the data dynamically, or
Create an on-demand relational extract that loads the drillthrough dataset into a Dynatable for interactive analysis.
This enhancement would allow users to filter, group, and perform ad-hoc analysis on detailed transactional data directly within Jedox, removing the need for Excel exports and providing a seamless, governed, and efficient analytics experience inside the platform.
