Jedox Excel Add-In recently has an an option "Keep connection alive" in the options dialog of the addin. this setting, when used, will "ping" the server connections in a configurable interval, thus preventing the user from having to do authentication again after the session expires (especially useful when using SAML authentication).
Instead of having a single setting for the Add-In, however, this could be changed to be configurable per connection. Maybe users have some connections where they want to "ping", others where they would rather have sessions expire?
