The Advanced Rule Editor does supprot reading of rules which contain comments. However, when the user starts to edit this rule not by changing the rule string in the upper input field, but by using the UI controls in the lower part (dropdowns etc.), the UI will then discard all comments when the rule is updated.
The user should at least be shown a warning when they start to edit rules via the UI controls, so they are aware comments would be lost if they proceed.
