Background:
A customer requires the conversion of building energy consumption into CO₂ equivalents as a critical part of their emissions reporting.
Proposed Idea:
Introduce an additional features within the ESG solution to calculate not only for travel data, but also for buildings a calculation of CO2 factors that enables:
Add option to enter custom CO₂ emission factors by energy type, country/legal entity, year.
Automated conversion of energy consumption into CO₂ equivalents using these factors (supporting various units such as kWh, m³, liters)
Output of calculated CO₂ emissions per building or location
Benefits:
High flexibility to meet customer-specific requirements
Eliminates manual workarounds and ensures consistent, automated calculations
Transparent and traceable emissions reporting on building or site level
