Currently, installment payments (e.g. down payments and partial payments over multiple months) are not directly supported within the CAPEX module. As a result, users need to adjust the numbers in the balance sheet accounts manually.
Installment payment feature ensures:
The asset is capitalized correctly at purchase time
The outstanding obligation is tracked via liabilities
Cash flow is distributed realistically over time
