Password History: Last 5 passwords should not be usable again

In context of IT security and access/identity management, it would be very helpful if users could not change the password any more to a password which was previously used.

In our company, we centrally reset passwords twice a year in order to make sure that users who left the company do not have access to the data any more. However, it's possible to change the passwords back to a previous one which is a security issue. The person who left the company may still access the data when the succeeding person changes the password to a historically used one.

Therefore, it would be helpful if a password history was introduced besides the password complexity parameters.
