Let us know how we can make Jedox even better!
Suggest exposing in console, or making editable the CRON_TZ setting to allow single point control of scheduled jobs. This would allow times to be setup in local time zone (convenience) but also a single change when swapping to and from Daylight Savings time (efficiency) as often jobs are scheduled to match a local time event (End of Day). Frequently needs adjusting +/- 1hr as starts / ends.
CRON_TZ only applies to Cron service and leaves the main server timezone as is (UTC).
Thank you for your great idea. While we cannot commit to a specific target version, we will consider adding it to our future internal backlog.
I think that as a system / instance setting would likely be best.
For options per job the ability to automatically adjust between Daylight Savings time and Non DST.
If this is option is selected then a job can automatically run an hour earlier during DST and revert when DST ends.
Probably not the most important idea on here but if you have a lot of jobs that source data from local sources, or "snapshots" at end of day, these need to be adjusted with each change from and to DST.
Hope this helps.
Could you give us the info for following information? Would you like this setting to be for all jobs or for an individual job? Where would you like to see this option? Thanks.
