Improve External Input Device Support in Jedox Mobile App

We would like to suggest improving the compatibility of the Jedox Mobile app with external input devices, such as mouse and trackpad accessories, on iPadOS.

During our tests on an iPad Air 11-inch (M4) running iPadOS 26.5, we observed that report components, including buttons, hyperlinks, and combo boxes, respond correctly to touchscreen interactions but do not respond to clicks when using the Magic Keyboard trackpad.

The issue was observed in both Web Reports and Canvas, while native application UI elements, such as switching between report tabs and closing tabs, continued to work with the trackpad. Additional testing on another iPad using a mouse also indicated that the issue occurred specifically in Canvas reports.

We understand that the Jedox Mobile app is primarily designed for touchscreen interaction and that compatibility with external input devices is not currently guaranteed. However, supporting these devices would provide greater flexibility and improve the user experience for customers who use iPads with keyboards, trackpads, or mice.

Expected Outcome

We would appreciate consideration of the following improvements:

  • Support for mouse and trackpad interactions with report components in Web Reports and Canvas.

  • Testing and validation of external input device compatibility across supported iPadOS versions.

  • Clear documentation regarding supported external input devices and any known limitations.

Improving compatibility in this area would make the Jedox Mobile app more versatile and help customers use reports more effectively in different working environments.
