PALO.EPARENT and PALO.ELEVEL relative to specific root element (parallel hierarchies)

PALO.EPARENT and PALO.ELEVEL work well if you have only 1 hierarchy within a dimension. But if you have more than one hierarchy it would be great to give a certain root element as parameter and get the parent and or the level in exactly this specific tree.

Thanks for this idea. We think it is a good one. We have started an internal process for the implementation of this feature. Watch this space!

Actually it might be a little bit ashaming for a modern OLAP server
to not be able do determine a parent 100% reliable in parallel hierarchies.

..knowing that other OLAP Servers (especially MDX based) have this as a standard function since more than 20 years

    [Dimx].[Hierarchy_A].[Member].Parent

    [Dimx].[Hierarchy_B].[Member].Parent

I hope that Jedox will also realise that this is a valid need in real life environments.

I agree with the comment from March 2022, it would make development a lot easier in several cases.

I have been looking for those functions since I began with Jedox. This would cut at least 30% of my supervision server custom developments

...very useful also from within a DynaRange combined with Conditional Formatting. Currently the level of deepness within a DynaRange can not be determined reliably with these functions - you have to use a custom macro (slow).
