Experienced Jedox model builders often write rules without using the rule editor, but by typing the rule formula directly into the formula field. When opening (existing) complex rules it can cause long waiting times while the rule editor "translates" the formula to the GUI and/or lead to an error that the rule is too complex to be shown in the GUI. If there was an option to collapse the rule editor by default, it would avoid disruption while working with rules. If this option is activated, opening the rule means to only load the formula itself and no further calculations that are purely meant for the GUI of the rule editor should be made.
Since this preference of building rules may differ on one Jedox server (depending on the model builder/user) it should be provided as a user specific setting, not as a global setting for the server.
