Let us know how we can make Jedox even better!
This action could be a standalone action, or an extension to the Read/Write Action.
Instead of a single number and one set of coordinates, the user can specify multiple coordinates and values.
The dialog would be grouped by "Values", similar to the set value action.
The user would be able to add additional "groups" of values and coordinates.
The Dialog would have to have some sort of check sum that adds all displayed values (typically , you would want that value to show 0).
When the user checks "Show the user an input dialog", the rows represent the various values ( a description to the left might show the concatenation of the coordinates) .
A total at the bottom tracks the sum of the values.
When ok is clicked on the input dialog, all the values are sent into the cube (s).
This is important for scenarios where you are required to build a double sided planning model. Right now, the ‘delivery mechanism’ for double sided entries must be built by the Report Designer.
Use cases include:
Balance sheet planning (eg add an asset which increases the asset account but decreases cash account)
Cash flow planning (same as above, typically with AR/AP and bank relationships being affected. )
Strategic modelling (similar use case as above)
