What: In canvas it is currently not possible to export a report to canvas. With a spreadsheet report it is possible to export the report to excel.
Why:
It is an important feature for our prospects and customers and one of the main reasons why they choose Jedox.
Building canvas reports and spreadsheets does not make sense as the spreadsheet reports would look "old" in comparison to canvas. Therefore all planning and reporting reports should be created with canvas and the feature to export the data.
Would be great if in the first step reports which have only a table (view screenshots) could be exported to Jedox.
I feel the direction to go is to allow the export of the individual components that CAN be exported to Excel. Some objects in a Canvas have no Excel equivalent, so a whole dashboard export to Excel is not possible. However objects that are Websheet based, or View based could probably be exported and adapted to Excel use.
