Let us know how we can make Jedox even better!
Please allow disabling the pop-ups about new Jedox Office 365 add-in indefinitely for all files, without having to install the new add-in, initializing connection and de-selecting "Automatic Initialization" option. Users using Full Suite or Excel Add-in are reporting about irritating pop-ups every time a workbook is opened. Currently it is only possible to disable it for each individual workbook, but that is not a solution.
Thank you for your feedback. The pop-up appears when a user opens a workbook previously used with the add-in but does not have the add-in installed. This happens because of an Excel feature that detects the add-in reference and recommends installation. The behavior is tied to the Automatic Initialization setting, which enables automatic server connection but also triggers these pop-ups.
Previously, this setting was on by default, but starting with the December release, we changed it to be off to prevent these pop-ups. However, workbooks created before December may still have the setting enabled, so please check and manually turn it off if needed (see image below).
Let us know if you have any further questions!
Is there an updated ETA on this? Our team are also suffering the same issue as the OP and are quite frustrated.
