package based deployment on linux

please consider the benefits of a package based installation which uses the upstream apache/tomcat packages. at the moment you are using a chroot-like model which has the big flaw of not getting security updates from the distribution channels. hearthbleed bug was one example where we thought we were save because of the system SSL-updates but weren't because jedox uses its own SSL-Libs. Yes, there are a lot of distros out there, but noone expects support for all of them. Please focus on CentOS/Redhat/SUSE and Debian-Based distributions. this way it should not be to hard to be up-to-date. All of the admins out there will thank you a lot if the updates work automaticly.

    Even only a proper package with the chroot Environment would be nice, installing directly the proper olap infrastruktur (32 or 64 bit) and startup scripts... There is a proper installation for windows, and I guess a lot of installations are now made on linux. If there would be an rpm and a deb package, almost every major distribution would be covered
