Our users cannot use the drill-by feature (or the new dynatable feature) because they have some restrictions on their rights within a cube - even though the rights don't affect what they would see.
For example, if they can't access a legal entity, they can't drill through any report that uses the legal entity dimension, even if POV filters are set so they wouldn't see data they shouldn't.
This renders drill-by totally unusable to our organization for anyone except admins as everyone has some limitations on some dims - but these don't affect their drilldown or report functionality - only drill-through. Seems like a complete oversight by Jedox.
Thank you for your idea. While we cannot commit to a specific target version, we will consider adding it to our future internal backlog.
Having talked to Jedox support on a recent issue regarding this topic, it seems a new software patch has just been released this week which solves this issue for the drill by feature. Great!
Seems like a remaining bug is effecting the dynatable feature though
